couldn't find another copy of this offered for sale anywheres. There's a six page poem detailing the WW2 epic of Eddie Rickenbacker the famous WW1 flying ace being lost at sea at the beginning of the second war. Other poems are WW2 related. Some rare war poetry here. Varicose Verse by Wilson Prichett is signed and inscribed to William [Bill] C. Bullitt who was the first US ambassador to the Soviet Union. Bullitt also was a journalist and author. "William C. Bullitt" calling card pasted inside front cover. Copyright 1943 first edition. The only other book I could find attributed to Prichett is The Volcano's Edge, 1946. Size of book is about 5 1/4 by 7 inches, 30 pages [12 poems]. Hardcovers slightly bowed, pages clean, no tears. Looks to be a library grade binding, no publisher listed. Pages binding staples rusted. Email if questions. Flat rate Priority mail in the USA with del. confirmation is $5.50.
