The Jervis Bay Goes Down by Gene Fowler. This is a rare and wonderful book, published in 1941, which contains an ode to the sinking of the Jervis Bay, which occurred while the ship was valiantly attempting to draw fire away from her convoy. The book also contains a reprint of a 1940 New York Tribune article which reported the sinking. A brave vessel not often remembered.
