VOL. II - 'ONE HUNDRED OF THE BEST POEMS ON THE EUROPEAN WAR' by 'WOMEN POETS OF THE EMPIRE' edited by Charles F. Forshaw. Published by Elliot Stock, London. 1916 (preface is dated May, 1916). First Edition.

Under his name on the title page of the second volume, Forshaw describes himself as 'Founder of the International Institute of British Poetry' and uses the book's preface to list the aims and rules of the Institute and to include a photograph of himself in military uniform - 'Section Commandant, Corps of Citizens of London'

An advertisment cutting found folded inside the book (presumably from sometime after 1916) also describes Chas F. Forshaw as a 'Life Fellow, and for Three Years Member of the Council, of the Royal Society of Literature'. Within the second volume was also found a handwritten poem on a loose sheet of paper - it does not appear in the book, but is called, 'The Young Dead Soldiers' and will be included.
