Louis Fürnberg (* 24. May 1909 in the Iglau; † 23 June 1957 in Weimar) was a German writer, poet and a musician.

Already at the age of 17 years it became member of the communist party. It created the Agitprop group “echo from left”, for which it was mainly active as Texter. Because of the Jewish origin of its family it fled with the invasion of the national socialists in Prague over Poland, Italy and Yugoslavia to Palestine, while its family remained in the Sudetenland and one murdered. In the year 1946 it returned to Europe. In the following two years it active as a journalist and correspondent for several newspapers in Prague were.
