Notes
1948. Bodley Head. Clipped dw very slightly nicked in one place otherwise a very good copy.

Inside flap:
"Commemorations is John Pudney's first post-war volume of verse. He has not allowed the great public demand for his wartime work to precipitate his craftsmanship. Some pieces in the present volume may reflect the terse, evocative character which was so greatly admired by critics of his earlier work. For the most part, hooweever, they represent a talent deepened not only by events but also a maturer philosophical approach. A few of these poems have been printed on both sides of the atlantic. The majority are published here for the first time.
