German Communist Yearbook for 1919
Rare post-World War 1 communist yearbook: 164 pp 12 mo. in cardboard. The frontis illustration shows a bare-chested man freeing himself from chains captioned November 9, 1918, the day a republic was declared in Germany, seeking an end to the reign of Wilhelm II. The first few pages also bear illustrations of Marx, Engels, Liebnecht, Fritz Ebert, and others, a poem "Revolution", and a great deal of propaganda supporting noted communists. Fine.

From Wikipedia
"The German Revolution or November Revolution (German: Novemberrevolution) was a civil conflict in the German Empire at the end of the First World War that resulted in the replacement of Germany's imperial government with a republic. The revolutionary period lasted from November 1918 until the establishment in August 1919 of a republic that later became known as the Weimar Republic."
