From back cover
"Enter a mind infected with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Journey with me, a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant, through my abusive childhook; read of my truancy from school as early as the first grade; my childhood fantasies and fears will shock you. I ran away from home at age five and continued running away to age sixteen. Read of my Marine Corps enlistment day and the tortures of Marine Boot Camp. Experience a typhoon aboard a troopship and the debilitating seasickness. I will share with you the death and fear of war. You will feel the lonliness of separation from loved ones; the hurt of divorce and broken engagements. You will be no stranger to the hurt of orphaned children or the misery of parents who lost a child"
