on first page says "Mary Katharine Willmott, who has lived in China since 1921, has for the past eleven years taught English literature and composition at the West China Union University at Chengtu. Yu Teh-chi, who collaborated with Miss Willmott in the translation of this Chinese war verse, is a student of English literature at the University of Nanking."
