The Late Poet Laureate of the 18th Battalion Association, CEF

From inside cover - "Perhaps no other member made a greater contribution in this respect than the late Fred Young, who up to the time of his death on September 2nd 1954, had been Secretary-Treasurer of the General Council. The poems he wrote, down through the years, have become a part of the Association, and, indeed, have given stimulus and encouragement to all of us. He left a permanent record of the Poems, and Colonel Gordon Ingram, OBE, and Major James Baxter, in their generosity, decided they should be published as a tribute to the memory and service of the late Fred Young.
