Sonja Yelich lives in Auckland with her partner and four children. Her first solo collection, Clung, was published by Auckland University Press in 2004

From book jacket....This daring collection of poems follows an American marine during his tour of duty in the Iraq war and vividly contrasts his life in the war with the lives of his family members at home in America. Presenting various perspectives on the war and on contemporary American life in a stream-of-consciousness style, the poems become increasingly fragmented and more disturbing as the war progresses and becomes more dangerous for the soldier.
