Volume one is concerned with the songs and ballads of the Colonial Wars and wars and into the Civil War, while volume 2 has those of the Civil War. This two volume set is relatively scarce, as it was later published in one volume, and this is more common. The publisher's ads list to volume XXI in the Nuggets Series and lists this as "in preparation". From this I would assume that it's the first printing.
