FIFTY YEARS AGO" by LORING WILLIAMS 1968 POETRY

FOLLOW UP TO AUTHORS FIRST BOOK "TWENTY YEARS AGO" WHICH

WAS PUBLISHED IN 1937. THOSE POEMS WERE WRITTEN BY AUTHOR

WHILE IN GERMANY AND FRANCE

(1917-19). OUT OF PRINT IN 67 WILLIAMS WANTED TO REPUBLISH HIS

EARLIEST POETRY WITH HIS NEWER POEMS.

FIFTY YEARS AGO, by Loring Williams. This book was published by The American Weave Press of South Berwick, Maine in 1968. It includes poems first printed in 1937 as a reminder of the horror of World War I and warning of the world rushing toward "another cataclysm". The earlier book was called Twenty Years Ago in which Williams published poems he wrote as a soldier in that earlier War. This book supplements the earlier poems with newer ones that "complement" the originals. The 5 1/2" x 8 3/4", 44 page hardback book is in Very Good+ condition, with the cover showing little wear and the interior showing only lightly pencilled pricing and coding on the front free endpaper and one page with a corner crease.
