The Trumpet Shall Sound. A volume of World War 2 Poetry. For Private Circualtion only.
This is a very rare item. It was privately printed and intended for 'Private Circulation Only'.
I have checked the internet and booklistings everywhere and I can find no mention of it at all. I have also not managed to find any indication of the author.
I think you can accurately assume that this is the only place where this item is for sale anywhere in the world.
There are 45 pages, (25cm by 17cm). Securely bound and in very good internal condition. Nice, bright, clean pages.
Hardback covers, still protected by the original dustjacket. Securely bound and in very good condition with very little wear. The covers are shown in the picture.
The dustjacket isn't shown in the picture, but it is identical in design and appearance to the hardback covers themselves. The dustjacket has some nibbles and small tears along the edges, but it is still in pretty good condition.
The titles of some of the poems includes, 'June 1940 Battle of the Beaches, Sept 1940 Battle of England, In the Factory, Air Raids over England, Evensong in the Crypt, and many more.
