A collection of poems, from the earliest written records to the modern day, exposing the horror of war. Divided into three sections. The first contains, amongst others, The Bible, Homer, Shakespeare and Walter Scott.
The second section takes work from 1914 to 1945, and includes Giuseppe Ungaretti, Wilfred Owen, Bertolt Brecht and many others. More recent works from Sadako Kurihara, Seamus Heaney and Mahmoud Darwish are closed with a retrospective.
