White cloth. 8vo. Dust jacket. First edition, limited to 500 cloth copies. Text in Italian and English. The poets collected in this anthology are by no means the only good poets writing in today's Italy, although they are the most authoritative and representative ones. Saba was first published in 1911; Ungaretti during the First World War and Montale soon afterwards. Only Quasimodo is a relative latecomer, having begun to publish in the early thirties. A very fine copy in a very good jacket with some light edgewear and fading to the spine. Affixed to the front flyleaf is a sticker "Compliments of the Transatlantic Review".
