Henry Treece (22 December 1911 – 10 June 1966) was a British poet and prolific writer who also worked as a teacher and editor. He wrote a range of works but is mostly remembered as a writer of childrens' historical novels.[1]
In World War II he served as an intelligence officer in the RAF and helped John Pudney edit Air Force Poetry.[4]

James Findlay Hendry (12 September 1912 – 17 December 1986) was a Scottish poet known also as an editor and writer. He was born in Glasgow, and read Modern Languages at the University of Glasgow. During World War II he served in the Royal Artillery and the Intelligence Corps.[1] After the war he worked as a translator for international organisations, including the UN and the ILO. He later took a chair at Laurentian University. He died in Toronto.
