Book of poems, some pertaining to author's experience at war in Korea

From back cover
"Varied verse was written from a wheelchair at the Greenbriar Nursing Home, Nashua, New Hampshire by James G. Atwood, a victim of multiple sclorosis. To pass the long, tedious hours of crippled inactivity, he began writing poetry by the aid of a mouthpiece designed by a local dentist, Dr. Andrew Weston, to hold a stick, with which he was able to press the keys of an electric typewriter. This had been the suggestion of Mr. William Thoms, the nursing home administrator.

In the period of a year between 1967 and 1968, Atwood occupied himself by expressing his thought in verse, in his own style and interpretation. The result was approximately three hundred short poems, many of which appear in varied verse.
