a copy of 16 Poems including ; War pie, just give me home, fight, my helmet, A-manning a lont tom, war in '43, I wonder when, heel Hitler, why war?, why I love eating at home, springtime and you, the heart of me, my rose, your picture and my prayer, war in anzio, and home at the front. Copy of typed poems. His commanding officer gave these poems to his wife to hold on to after the author, who isn't named, died in combat. He handwrote this message at the end of the last poem - "Darling, all this was written by one of my men who was killed by enemy artillery fire on the anzio black head. Please preserve these pages for me. I wish to re-type all this and send copies to his wife and mother as he asked before he died. -Max" Also includes information about Max and his accomplishments.
