This is a military oriented cookbook that has great recipes, pictures from Iraq, artwork and poetry. Crisalyn B. Sachi is the author and is a veteran of the army. This cookbook is in memory of her son's first sergeant who died during her son's second tour in Iraq. Crisalyn's daughter was serving in Iraq during this time too. This was her first time in Iraq. This was also during the time that Crisalyn's parents and grandmoter died so this cookbook became very hard for her to write. Some of the proceeds of this cookbook will help soldiers. Service member's family helped to contribute to the recipes, artwork and poetry.

Crisalyn Sachi wrote this cookbook during her son's second tour in Iraq. Three of the servicemember's family wrote three of the poems in her cookbook. Crisalyn hopes to sell enough cookbooks to put some of the service members children through college and to help other soldiers and veterans. Her daughter was also in Iraq during the same time as her son during the writing of this cookbook. This cookbook is dedicated to the lost lives of the soldiers and in memory of Crisalyn's parents and grandmother.
