Notes
Served US marines 1963 -1966 and the son of a WW2 bomber commander.

This is a collection of works by Cal Fager, a Vietnam-era US Marine. While many of the poems are about life, love, injustice and wonder, he is best known for his military poetry. His works, such as The Letter Home, Iron Nurses and the Wall, The Blue Jacket Way, Jungles and Sand and It's So Quiet Here have become widepspread, but until now he has never published a collection of his works. The book is in rough chronological order, starting with early works from the 1960's and progressing through to current times. Particularly relevant and poignant is his miliary poetry, a number of which continue to be circulated by e-mail or hand-to-hand by current and former service members. Many of these poems have been published individually, but this is the definitive collection of Cal Fager's works.
