His death was the result of shell-shock recieved on the last day of the war while removing sick and wounded from a bombed and burning hospital at Mezieres. Front hinge is just beginning to go. Minor wear to board edges and corners with a bump the bottom spine edge. Endpapers, outside page edges and tissue paper over frontispiece are aged spotted. Binding is good. Pages are unmarked.
