James Griffyth Fairfax (15 July 1886–27 January 1976) was a British poet and translator.

Fairfax, a grandson of the Australian newspaper tycoon John Fairfax, was educated at Winchester and New College, Oxford. His first volume of poetry was published in 1908.

He served in the 15th Indian Division for the duration of the First World War, and was made a Captain in the Army Service Corps.

He was a Member of Parliament for Norwich from 1924–1929.
