Clifford (Henry) Dyment, January 20, 1914, in Alfreton, Derbyshire, England; died in 1971; son of William Clifford and Elizabeth (Riding) Dyment; married Marcella Salzer (an actress), 1947 (died, 1968). Education: Attended school in Loughborough, England. Avocational Interests: Playing harmonica, collecting cigarette cards, listening to 78 r.p.m. records, drinking cheap wine, and collecting wine lists and miscellaneous catalogues. Memberships: Royal Society of Literature (fellow), P.E.N.

Free-lance literary journalist and critic, 1934-40; scriptwriter of documentary films, 1941-42; director of documentary and military training films, 1943-48; free-lance writer and broadcaster, 1948-71. Lecturer and reader of poetry in public recital halls. English Festival of Spoken Poetry, judge, 1953-56.
