Bradshaw, Percy Venner [P. V. B.] (1877–1965), illustrator and art teacher,
Pronounced unfit for military service, Bradshaw was a special constable during the First World War. During the Second World War he served as a fire-watcher and wrote humorous verse for allied newspapers, published as Marching On (1943). In addition he wrote a popular series of articles about cartoonists—‘They Make Us Smile’—in London Opinion in the 1940s (later published as books) and a number of volumes of reminiscences.
