Vinokurov ( Evgeny Mikhailovich (1925-1993)
Poet. Vinokurov was born on October 22, 1925 in Bryansk. Like most poets of his generation he left school (after 9th grade) and entered the military. At the age of 18 he became a commander of a platoon.

In 1948 Vinokurov began publishing his works. In 1951 Vinokurov graduated from the A.M. Gorky Literary Institute, at the same time when his first book of poems was published, Poems About Debt. Throughout the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s he published many books of poetry.

His poems are touching, thoughtful, and filled with the emotions experienced by the human being.

Vinokurov died in Moscow on January 23, 1993.
