ANTHOLOGY. [Wrapper title:] Poems from the C.M.F. Written, collected, printed and published by Eighth Army. Italy, January 1944. First Edition. 12mo, wrappers. The single rusty staple sensibly removed so contents loose, otherwise a very good copy. A sequel to the anthology Verses from the Desert, published to great acclaim by Harrap earlier in the year. This much more modest production was printed in Italy by 871 Mobile Printing Section; the designation 'C.M.F.' (Central Mediterranean Force) was adopted only on 18 January 1944, four days before the Anzio landings. Not found in the BL Catalogue, COPAC or RLIN, but OCLC locates a copy at Cambridge and another at Texas. £45.00
