A Soldier's Mind, A Soldier's Heart is about romance and pain, and it's about conflicts and the effects of war. I was a combat medic in the Army, and some of what is written is about case studies of people met along the way and the outcomes. It is a book of life's joys and sorrows, tragedies and happy endings, and all that one may experience in between. It is a book about death and life and choices. Each poem is a short story of events, situations, conditions, places and people set to verse, most real and some fantasy, that speak of various subject matter from religious dogma to political satire. Finally, it is a book that will make you cry or laugh, cause one to ponder or be enlightened. From beginning to end you will not be able to put it down until each line has been read.
