The offering is a double postcard (15" by 3 1/2") pertaining to and believed to have been mailed from Brownsville, TX on November 3, 1915 during the 1915-16 US-Mexican Conflict. The inside of the double postcard has a poem by "W. A. Graham, Capt. Third Iowa Infantry, Comd'g Co. B." Included on the reverse side is a picture entitled, "A Country Road in Texas." The postcard is addressed to Miss Annie L Talley, Fredericksburg, Virginia. The postcard shows evidence of having been stapled together when originally mailed in 1915. The offered item will make an excellent addition to one's collection. This and other items recently offered from Fredericksburg, VA indicates that one of the "local boys" served on the Mexican Border during the 1915-16 US-Mexican conflict.
