Includes Foreword and Wharton's introductory essay titled "The Author's Reminiscences of War Days" as well as b/w illustrations plus four concluding pages of promotional material for the book Primary text comprised of an anthology of mid-19th century songs, poems, ballads, etc. popular during the Civil War among both the Confederate military and populace.


There were a number of editions publish in 1904 variously by American Book and Bible House Phildelphia, Winston,Philidelphia, and perhaps one Privately Printed.
